Not only does he have (arguably) THE BEST design out of the Mukamis (he doesn't look overdesigned to the point of parody yet I can tell what I'm getting myself into from his bandages) he is surprisingly sweet. Kou for whatever reason thinks she is doing this because she "loves" him even though she clearly doesn't (because who the fuck would) and proceeds to bite her.īut what I think really irks me is the lack of romance that wasn't forced or pulled out of thin air when the plot needed it. Like, there is this one scene where Kou is walking in the middle of the street and almost got ran over and Yui, being the sweetheart she is, does her damndest to ensure both of their safety. Whatever kind of horrible, traumatic things he had to endure at the hands of the aristocrats are completely undermined by his lack of likability or logic.Įverytime he got hurt or injured I was hoping it would succeed because that is how much I hated him. I felt anger towards the other vampires, but he just seems ceaselessly petty, two-faced, and incredibly hypocritical!Ī lot of the times I'm baffled by the outright needless cruelty and lack of empathy he displays while actually trying to put himself ABOVE the Tsun-King Subaru!
